What is hot process soap?

As you may or may not know, we are currently in the process of converting all of our soaps over to hot process. Now you might be wondering, what the heck is hot process soap?! It's pretty simple really:

Hot process soap is made in the same way as cold process except for one key ingredient: heat. To speed up the saponification process the soap is cooked. This method allows the soap to be fully saponified and immediately ready for use. Before making them available to you, we let our bars dry on the rack for one to two weeks to allow for a harder, longer lasting bar of soap.
